Last year, Pumpkins on Parade raised over $9,500 for the School of the Holy Childhood. This is a wonderful community event, which featured food, music and an auction of painted pumpkins.
Local businesses have the option of supporting the event by purchasing large bales of hay decorated to look like pumpkins by the staff at Gro-Moore Farms.
The 2011 bale sponsors included: Calkins Corporate Park, Canandaigua National Bank, Doyle Security Systems, Erie Station Village, Five Star Bank, Hadley Chiropractic, John Howland, Read’s Ice Cream, Monroe Tractor, Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming, Key Logistics, Pieters Family Life Center, Pride & Joy Child Care, Rush Family Medicine, Rush Henrietta Athletic Association, Wegmans Calkins Road, Terry & Terryl Butwid, the Scowcroft Family, Tru Salon and American Swiss Products.
The bales have been prominently displayed at the business for several weeks. Holy Childhood and Rush Henrietta students, as well as area artists, also supported the event by painting pumpkins that are auctioned off at the event. .jpg)
