Pumpkins on Parade Annual Charitable Event
Raised Almost $10,000 for Holy Childhood Playground Fund!
On September 30, 2007,Gro-Moore Farms hosted Pumpkins on Parade at their location on 2811 East Henrietta Road, Henrietta, which raised close to $10,000 for a new playground for the School of the Holy
Childhood. Close to 200 people attended the event, which featured food, music and an auction of painted pumpkins.
Area businesses supported the event by purchasing large bales of hay that staff at Gro-Moore Farms painted to look like pumpkins.
Supporters at this level included Ayers Printing, Baker’s Tree Service, Bradley Kaufman, DDS, Domenico’s Ristorante, East Coast Commercial, Gorman-Lyden Dental, Klee’s Mobil, Key Logistics, Rochester/Henrietta Super 8 Motel, Read’s Ice Cream, Monroe Tractor, Nothnagle Realtors, Rochester Home Builders Assoc., Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming, Rush Henrietta Rotary Club, Terry & Terryl Butwid, the Scowcroft Family, Doyle Security Systems and David A. Vasile, Inc.

The bales have been prominently displayed at the business for several weeks. Holy Childhood and Rush Henrietta students, as well as area artists, also supported the event by painting pumpkins that were auctioned off at the event.
All proceeds from Pumpkins on Parade in 2007 benefit Holy Childhood’s playground fund. Holy Childhood is a non-denominational, non-profit agency providing individuals with special needs with the tools to reach maximum independence.
